Training a dog is not very hard, even if you are new at this. Dog training takes a lot of patience but it is definitely rewarding. Once you teach your dog to do something they won’t ever forget it and it makes your own life easier with your dog. Proper dog training will also teach your dog what is expected of them by their human owners. All dog’s love to have a purpose in their life, a dog with a purpose is a happy dog.
How To Train Your Dog?
You must be the dominant! This is one of the basic rules of dog training. Dogs need a leader, if he or she does not see you as a leader he or she will take the lead and will not listen to you. Achieving a pack leader status with your dog is easier than you think. Passing your dog when leaving a room, entering a room before your dog and eating before your dog are few of the pack leader qualities that you need to have. These are just examples of small things that will make it clear to your canine companion that you are the leader of the pack and not him or her.
Before you teach your dog to follow your orders, you will certainly have the opportunity to take him for walks. This is a good opportunity for you to uphold and teach the basic essential: to walk on a leash. Your dog should always walk with you. He can’t be pulling you on the leash to go faster! Don’t let your dog walk in front of you; pull in little jerks on the leash if he moves too fast. For security, your dog needs to understand you and obey orders. Again, you don’t need to be harsh in training. Choose simple commands such as “Come”, “Sit”, “Stay” and “Stop” will do. In order to train your dog, it is essential to show them what you expect from them with enthusiasm. If you want your dog to sit, give him or her the order and press their back down softly so that they sit. Repeat the exercise several times especially if your dog is still a puppy. When your dog does a good job, do not be stingy with the rewards. Give treats every time your dog does something correctly, praising them highly as well. Your dog can detect your happiness and enthusiasm from the tone of your voice.
How to Train A Dog to Stop Biting?
Here are some tips from Ty the Dog Guy. The first thing he says is that “have respect for the dog” many people today do not have respect for their dogs. Showing respect means having set rules for your dog to follow in your family. Be the authority figure that your dog wants you to be. Your dog will only take orders from his or her pack leader. Once you have this power, it becomes much easier for your to stop your dog from biting. Teach your dog what is right and wrong after you establish this leadership and dog training becomes much easier on you and your family.
How to Stop Dog Jumping?
Here are some dog training tips from Zak George. Stopping your dog from jumping can be challenging because it is what dog’s do. They like to express physically and have plenty of energy to do so. Your dog is not disrespecting you by jumping up on you rather they are greeting you at your face. First establish that pack leader status with your dog then have someone else hold your dog on a leash while you approach them. Every time your dog is thinking about jumping or about to jump, simply move away from him or her. “The best time to correct an unwanted behavior is right before it occurs” is really true when it comes to any form of dog training. When your dog doesn’t jump give them a treat and mark the wanted behavior.
How to Train Your Dog to Speak?
Here is how to train your dog to speak from Ty the Dog Guy. Use your dog’s favorite dog toy to kinda frustrate him. I find a tree bark or dog bone works best with my Pit Bull. The idea is simple, keep your dog tied to something on a leash then kinda frustrate them with the toy by moving it back and forth. Your dog will eventually bark and mark the behavior with a treat as soon as he does. After you do this a few times, throw in a command then mark the behavior with a treat at the same time. Eventually, your dog will learn to bark on your command itself. Some dog trainers don’t agree with this type of training as they don’t want to frustrate the dog. How to Fix Submissive Urination In Dogs?
Submissive urination is a dog training problem that I myself have dealt with for a long time. My Pit Bull would pee a little on the floor every time someone new comes into the home and walks up to pet her. She will even do this when I get home and gives her attention right away. It usually happens because your dog is super excited to see you, it could also happen because your dog is marking their territory. The best way to avoid this problem is to ignore your dog and turn away from the dog for a while they settle. Let your dog come to you eventually and greet you and be sure to avoid any low petting tones such as “hey baby, I missed you” within the first few minutes. The only method that seems to work for this problem is to avoid the dog when you approach them. I agree with the methods Ty the Dog Guy uses in his video to correct this problem.
Scolding A Dog
As a dog owner or dog trainer, you need to learn to scold your dog. Don’t scold him often, do it wisely and always without violence. In fact, a dog will not understand you if you hit him or shout. Instead, it will make them less confident in you as a pack leader. When your dog makes a mistake, firmly say “No” then praise them when they do the wanted behavior.
Finally, note that training a dog requires a lot of patience and understanding on the dog owner’s or trainer’s part. All dog have very different personalities; some will be more receptive than others. If you ever have serious trouble with your pet, do not hesitate to call a veterinarian, behaviorist or a dog trainer. The credit for the videos goes to Ty the Dog Guy & Zak George.
